CLIMBING A MOUNTAIN NOT A MOLEHILL

A look at the table generally tells the story of a season, as in, each team finishes where points dictate. No good luck excuses or bad luck sob stories, no goal difference grumbles, no 'if onlys'

One thing that is clear is that the two Manchester clubs have been the model of consistency and there have been clubs who have had  their moments in the sun. Liverpool have been noticeably declining in terms of League position and Newcastle have hung on in there. sp*rs and Chelsea have been in the mix most of the season but there is one club who have fought their way into a position that is second  (well, third) only to the Manchester pair. That club have come back from being 17th, 13th, 7th to claiming third place; where we currently sit. The Arsenal have fought back from an untenable position to having Champions League Qualification in our own hands. I would argue that despite any negative comments and broader issues (to be addressed in the summer) that The Arsenal have had the most significant of positive turnarounds of any team in the premier League. We pretty much clawed our way back into the mix at the turn of the year and have kept on showing character and bouncebackability in the face of numerous injuries; one fact that is not open to interpretation is that our injuries have been ridiculously frequent.

So the final push should be viewed in the context of a team who have worked their way back from the pit of despair to the brink of achievement. Let's all be realistic, the two Manchester Clubs are far ahead and therefore a Champions League spot is the prize for the other eighteen teams. Let's hang on keep going and grab it.
